Martin Dettling joined the Albanese Organization in 1995. He oversees the design and construction of individual projects throughout the Albanese Organization’s portfolio, ranging from new high-rise, multi-family projects to adaptive reuse projects. Mr. Dettling is best known in the industry for his effective assembly of design and construction teams while simultaneously achieving the utmost in quality and performance in building construction. Mr. Dettling joined the Albanese Organization as a project superintendent, overseeing work at the Wyndham condominiums. Since then, he has been responsible for the successful completion of some of the firm’s most notable projects including two LEED Platinum certified residential high-rise buildings in New York City, the Verdesian and the Visionaire, and Wyandanch Rising. Mr. Dettling has served as Chairman of the Board of the U.S. Green Building Council’s New York Chapter, the Board of the Long Island Builders Institute and has served on the New York City Department of Building’s Sustainability Advisory and Building Resilience Steering Committees. He has appeared on the Discovery Channel’s Planet Earth, CNN, and other programs, and has been quoted in The New York Times. Mr. Dettling has pursued his personal interests through teaching sustainable construction management at New York University. He graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
