Lobby Day

LIBI’s Lobby Day is our annual opportunity to bring the voice of Long Island’s building industry directly to Albany. Members spend the day meeting with legislators and staff to explain how state policies affect housing production, construction jobs, permitting timelines, and the overall health of our local economy.

The day allows builders, remodelers, developers, suppliers, and industry professionals to share real experiences and highlight the challenges they face on job sites and in project planning. These conversations help lawmakers understand that Long Island’s housing and construction needs are not abstract policy debates but daily realities for businesses, workers, and families.

Lobby Day also demonstrates the strength and unity of our industry. When LIBI members show up together, it sends a clear message that we are committed to practical, balanced solutions that support smart growth and keep Long Island competitive.
