Aside of our pro-active, prominent role of being a Long Island-wide advocacy group working to enhance, promote and maintain the home building industry, LIBI offers a broad, comprehensive program of services to our membership of over 600 individual building companies.

And, as such, a LIBI membership proves your vital role in the Long Island community—and most importantly, the Long Island economy. There’s something remarkable and unique about LBI. For one thing, it’s not a club, not an organization whose “membership benefits” amount to little more than having your name on a mailing list.

When you join LIBI, you don’t belong to it…it belongs to you. You have the option of meeting and networking with other home building professionals in large, small or special-interest groups as often, or as regular, as you and your co-members wish. Lively and thought provoking general membership meetings (held monthly) feature leaders in our industry and leaders from government. Membership in the Long Island Builders Institute also includes membership in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the New York State Builders Association (NYSBA). Membership is available in the following two categories:

Builder Members: Includes developers, subdivision and custom builders, building contractors and home-improvement contractors who improve real property in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Associate Members: Are comprised of companies providing products and services to builders, including manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, legal, engineering and architectural professionals and consultants, banks and real estate and mortgage brokers and title companies.
